Q.20 Science tells us how to build airplanes, religion tells people to fly them into buildings

The prophet Hosea records a lament from God: “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”(Hosea 4:6) I was struct by the lack of knowledge and perception exhibited in this question. In Hosea’s day, because the people were so ignorant of God and his ways, he rejected and punished them. Lest you fall into the same judgment, let me clear up the two glaring errors in this statement.

Clarification 1: Science and religion are not in opposition.

This site is about Christianity, so first up, let me clarify that remarks regarding religion are understood to mean Christianity unless stated otherwise. With that in mind, this statement puts science and the religion of Christianity at opposite ends of the Good – Evil spectrum with science being good, and Christianity being bad. Nothing could be further from the truth. Christianity provides the framework within which science operates. Without the confidence in a universe that is not random, that obeys laws, and that those laws can be discovered and understood, there would be no science. That framework came about because Christians believed, and continue to believe, that God, the creator of the universe, is a God of order and beauty who created a universe that could be studied and understood. So science and Christianity are not in opposition. Science, properly understood, will always confirm the Bible. The Bible, on more than one occasion, has lead to scientific Discoveries. For example, in a well documented account, Matthew Fontaine Maury the “Father of Modern Oceanography”, upon hearing about the “paths of the seas” (Ps 8.8), is said to have responded, “If God says there are paths in the sea, I am going to find them.” With that insight, Maury went on to produce the first comprehensive wind and current charts.[1]

Clarification 2: It is not the religion of Christianity that kills people. That distinction goes to the satanic religion of Islam.

The larger error, of course, is the assumption that religion, by which the person making the statement means the Christian religion, since this accusation is directed at Christians, tells people to fly planes into building. Here he needs to learn the distinction between Christianity, the religion of love from God, and  Islam, the religion of hate from Satan. Jesus accurately observed:

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)

The contrast is as stark today as it was when Jesus spoke it. The thief in this statement is, of course, Satan. Satan has been about the business of killing, stealing and destroying since his fall. He has inspired many deluded and deceived people to indulge their sin—to hate, kill and destroy, and to take pleasure in it. This is  particularly true in his flagship religion—Islam. I say “flagship” because Satan has many religions, but Islam is by far the one most dedicated to killing and conquering. Since the accuser does not appear to have noticed that, let me provide some reminders that document how satan, who has been about the business of killing and destroying since the beginning, has inspired people to participate in evil. Let’s start with one of his signature accomplishments which is referenced in the accusation—the destruction of the World Trade Center. Satan signed his work by having his face appear in the smoke while the towers fell as the below photo documents.

Demonic face seen in the smoke of the World Trade Center collapse

Note that this photo was taken on 9/11/2001, before the advent of AI imaging. The photographer denies altering or manipulating the photo.

Let’s move on to a list of terrorist activities and see who is responsible for them:

List of Terror attacks with Muslims as perpetrators

All the above attacks were by Muslims. Why do so many attacks target innocent civilians? Because as Osama Bin Laden proclaimed to the world, Islam would not distinguish between civilians and military targets in their jihad against the West in general and the United States in particular.

Osama Bin Ladin: We do not differentiate...all are targets
Bin Ladin: All are targets. We do not differentiate…

What religion tells its followers to behead unbelievers? That would be Islam.
The Quran instructs followers to behead unbelievers

Do they really believe that? Clearly they do, because we saw a graphic an example of that during the October 7th, 2023 attack on Israel. Ben Shapiro narrates. Warning! Very Graphic Video.

Warning! Graphic Beheading by Hamas Muslims

Here are a few other hate-filled atrocities that Muslims believe and regularly do which have been shared across the Internet. There are too many to list them all, but I want you to get a clear idea of the real nature of the so called “peaceful” religion of Islam.

This tweet sums up Muslim terrorists nicely:

Conclusion
I could go on to demonstrate how Muslims abuse and beat women, view women as animals, rape little girls while
claiming to marry them, sometimes leading to their death, train children for war, burn infidel Yazidi girls alive, etc. etc. While on the other hand the benefits of Christianity are well documented. [2] Clearly, it is not “religion” that tells people to fly airplanes into buildings, it is Islam, a religion properly characterized as the doctrines of demons (1 Tim 4.1 KJV). One will do well to distinguish the difference between Islam, the religion of hate, death and killing, and Christianity, the religion of love, forgiveness and redemption. If you cannot, I fear for your soul. You are like those who could not distinguish the work of God, and the work of satan, a sin Jesus called “unforgiveable.” (Mark 3.28-29)
