Whenever I hear talk of gay “pride” or “Pride Month”, I can’t help but think of the Bible verse about those who take pride in what they should be ashamed of, a verse that also talks about their destiny. (Php 3.18-19) Here it is amplified from the Today’s English Version (TEV). I say “amplified” because the TEV is not a straight translation. In attempting to put the scriptures in modern English, they liberally paraphrase. So here it is from the TEV:

I have told you this many times before, and now I repeat it with tears: there are many whose lives make them enemies of Christ’s death on the cross. They are going to end up in hell, because their god is their bodily desires. They are proud of what they should be ashamed of, and they think only of things that belong to this world.
Philippians 3.18-19 TEV

As it did in the apostle’s day, this describes people living in sin and that is no more true today than it is for the many people promoting “pride” today. Knowing the destiny of such people, the apostle Paul was grieved to tears as we all should be. But aside from our grief, what is an appropriate Christian response to the inundation of events and propaganda concerning “Pride” month? A proper response begins with a proper understanding and assessment of what “Pride” month is and what it stands for.

The LGBTQ Hidden Agenda

On this point of definition and identification we must make no mistake because those advocating for gay “rights” have always had hidden agendas, as Janet Boynes, who was formerly in the LGBT lifestyle, points out. The gay agenda is not merely about the freedom to be come out of the closet and “love” anyone they please or “marry” anyone they please or “transition” to any gender they please. No, at its core it is a satanic attack on every aspect of God’s created order. As we’ll see, now they’re even going after the children. Since satan cannot harm God in anyway he attacks what’s dear to God: God’s creation and those created in His image. And satan and his demonic hordes attack it in every way they can. Thus the gay agenda is an attack on:

  • God’s image bearers – mankind (Gen 1.26-27)
  • God’s creation of male and female (Gen 1.27)
  • God’s creating marriage to be between a man and a woman (Gen 2.24),
  • God creating the intimacy of marriage to be between a man and woman (Gen 4.1);
  • God creating the family unit with parents to be fruitful and responsible as stewards to manage everything from their children to the environment around them (Gen 1.28).

Promoters of the gay agenda have systematically attacked each of these foundational structures of God’s created order. They started with an attack on intimacy being only between man and woman by claiming it can be between same sex people. They went on to claim those same sex people can be married in the same manner that heterosexual couples can marry – a clear and obvious lie. They’ve now moved on to deny distinctions in gender, deny genders cannot be changed, deny parental authority and of course deny humans are worthy stewards and instead see humans as parasites. They (the mindset of this “they” is not limited to gay promoters) worship the created thing (the earth) instead of the creator (Rom 1.25) to the point that the deceived elites want us to not harm the earth by farming and instead want us to degrade the entire race to point where commoners eat bugs – and like it.

In an ironic turn of events, the latest LGBT attack has turned out to be the wake up call for many who have been sleepwalking through the gay attack and takeover of cultural and even business norms. It has taken the blatant attacks on the family and attempts to indoctrinate children – children – into their satanic lifestyle to wake up the sleeping church. Events like Drag Queen story hours to school attempts to secretly transition kids without parents knowing to gay youth pride events  with no parents allowed have finally gotten the attention of the moral majority. Finally parents are waking up to what’s happening. For many the last straw was retail giant Target promoting “tuck” friendly clothes in the toddler section designed by a drag queen; and in the women’s section “tuck” friendly bathing suits designed by a satanist. (In passing I agree we should boycott them out of existence – a corporation so far gone will not stop the madness.)

This has not happened by accident. Ben Shapiro mockingly describes the  movement and the ever increasing number of letters they use to describe it: the “LGBTQ plus minus divided-by-sign i two spirit happy face emoji sad face emoji tilde” people. (Zmirak’s mocking moniker is easier to remember and to the point: LGBTQ-my-name-is-Legion) In this clip Shapiro mockingly describes the “the most holy month of the year … pride month” and the associated corporate goals to decorate as they do during the “high holidays” like Christmas – only with gay pride themed items. He goes on to explain – in all seriousness – the whole leftist (read satanic) agenda is being driven by three top investment corporations (Black Rock, Vanguard and State Street) to force everyone to submit to their leftist (read satanic) agenda. So the question is, what are we are God-fearing, God obeying Christians going to do about it? And thus we get to the point of this article.

How Should Christians Respond to “Pride Month”

First off, you should not participate in any of it:

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
(Eph 5:11)

Secondly, and just as importantly, actively do something to counteract all the lies of the LGBTQ-MyNameIsLegion gang with the goal of snatching some from the fire as scripture says:

“snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear–hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.”
(Jude 1:23)

If all of these are a bit too confrontational or combative, you can always keep it simple. When asked if you’re going to attend or participate in some “pride” event, you can simply reply:

  • No, I’m a Christian, I don’t participate in anti-Christian events.

If you want to soften that, you can use one of the following:

  • No, I’m a Christian. I support Christian values.
  • No, I’m a Christian. I’ve opted out of “pride” month.
  • No, I take pride in Christian values, not gay values.

Now, more than ever,  is the time to stand by our faith, and for our faith. God both expects it, and in fact commands it:

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place..”
Ep 6.14 

In fact, if you don’t stand firm, God will not be pleased with you:

“But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.”
(Heb 10:38)

And if you want to take pride in something, if you want to boast about something then take pride in, and boast about, knowing the Lord:

“‘…but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,’ declares the LORD.”
(Jer 9:24)

Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
(1 Cor 1:31)

Do you want to participate in a pride event? Do so in a way that makes God proud. Take pride in your Christian Faith. Talk about Fidelity month. When “pride” events are shoved in your face, stand firm and tell them you’re a Christian and don’t participant in such things.  Tell them you take pride in knowing the LORD God. Doing that will make God proud. Make it your goal that making God proud is the only pride event you’ll participate in.
